Your friendly dentist will go over the treatment provided during your appointment with you before the session begins. We will make sure you’re relaxed and comfortable in the dentist’s chair before commencing an examination of your mouth. We comply fully with WA Department of Health hygiene regulations and totally sterilise all equipment used during your general dental check-up.

What Is General Dentistry?

During a general check-up, a dentist will perform an examination, scale and clean and dental X-Rays of your mouth. An oral dental examination is designed to check for plaque build-up, cavities in teeth and gum disease. A scale and clean will be performed to remove plaque and leave teeth in better condition than before. X-Ray photographs will be taken using specialised dental equipment and will identify any abnormalities affecting your teeth’s growth or position.

If you need any dental treatments such as dental fillings, tooth extraction or root canal treatment following your dental examination, we will provide information to you regarding the treatment before proceeding to work on your teeth in order to discuss the options and help you to make an informed decision for your dental treatment.

We also have sedation options for nervous and anxious patients to ease the treatment for them in a relaxed environment.

How Much Is A Dental Exam?

We offer no out of pocket expenses for exam, scale and clean and X-Rays for patients covered under most health funds. If you’re not covered by private health insurance, we also offer a 20% discount to you to ensure you’re not breaking the bank when you see the dentist for a regular check-up.
